Description

A painting of artist Mia Bengtsson's equine character. Took about 8 hours. I used Photoshop 7 and a wacom tablet. No references. hope you like it!

The horse is lovely. ^^ I think the waterline could use a bit more love - there's a very sharp and perfectly straight line separating the water and the grass. Also the photoshop grass brush shows a bit much there, and it just isn't distorted enough on the water side (nor are the stems there bent far enough) to pass as a reflection. Also some bits are itsy bitsy blurry, but it could very well be the downsizing.

great rendering and lovely fanciful subject matter.

My only suggestion would be to use a hard brush to crisp up the edges of the horse...right now, everything is looking a little blurry.

Mind you, you DID make this a while ago, so maybe you've started using harder edged brushes already...
