well, here's my first Sri Lanka shot. Even though my favorite photography subject is definately music, I really enjoyed taking nature shots...and believe me: it's hard not to take a beautiful photo in Sri Lanka

This one is taken at 2000m near the hotel we stayed. It was absolutely stunning...what a view! There was this dam with a waterfall and all...well, it's kind of hard to describe....all I can say is..

It seems to be quite calm and peaceful, but the image is too dark making it difficult to properly critique this photo.

@Loneorbit: Perhaps you should see this image on a proper monitor then ;-) because it looks fine on my monitor. It's dark indeed, but as I can still see some nice details from the leaves in the foreground, I don't consider this image too dark. Besides; it's supposed to be some kind of silhouette photo.

Beautiful place!....It looks properly exposed to me......maybe it has too large dark zones to my taste and I would crop a little from both sides.....

Well – you failed not to take a beautiful shot…

the scenery is stunning but the composition is all yours and it’s really effective – you’ve managed to split the image 50/50 along the horizon but framed it so creatively that it flows into the image. It reminds me a little of an ‘ink blot’ test but one that isn’t quite symmetrical somehow. The way the blue areas seem to flow into and around the dark areas like a watercolour is very effective. Peaceful and restful and full of depth.
