Description
again the couple from my last shot. i like those reduced tones - and both of them are hilarious together: he's the banterer, she's the taskmaster.

the comp from a wedding photography point of view is perfect in No 3
But all are overexposed, or simply to bright.. the skin has blown out and there is no detail in the dress which is a NO-NO for weddings..
If you were to put this into an album with your other post it would be very obvious when you turned the page that there was a problem with continuity, as they are simply not the same regarding exposure/skin tone or in fact colour cast..
Your on the right track.. and i have no doubt the couple were very happy...
and yes Carlos,, when it comes to weddings the woman is most definately BOSS

I’m not a fan of ‘stereotyped’ commercial photography – and wedding photography can be a major yawn – but I find these to be both courageously presented and very expressive and touchingly personal.

Wedding photography is one field of photography that the clients almost always have little idea of what photography is about, but you need a theme or consistancy in any series of photographs, you also need detail in the dress, this is a rule that should never be broken unless in extreme cases or if the image is destined to be used for another use other than the album, ( for seperate framing, etc) I assumed the detail in the dress would be obvious, but if anyone reading this is in doubt think of it this way, why spend £1000's on a dress and then have your photographer overexpose it and loose all the detail >>
I stand by my origional remark.
As I said already Daniela, your on the right track....

@
thank you,
phillip and miriam didn't want me to design an album. they first of all wanted traditional portraits for their thank-you cards and some romantic rememberance. those they got -and are not posted here because they are ... like already said: booooooooooring. shots like the one above were additional programme and both liked them very much - because they were spontaneous and look like that with all their little composition bugs.
since they are my friend's friends they only payed me for the time i spent and got a few prints of their choice all files free on CD - which is highly usual.

And the most important thing is the both are happy!

I don't usually comment on Wedding Photos - the whole situation is so artificially staged and that usually comes through in the images. Even the good one's usually just don't appeal to me in the creative sense, they're too obviously commercial. I guess that's why I picked up on the 'commercial' angle in my comment - and why I commented on this from a 'creative' rather than commercial angle - but no, I wasn't racing to defend

I still stand by my remarks as they were simply intended as a discussion ! And people comment on other members Comments often, normally its I agree with "member A" and sometimes its "I dont agree with Member A"... its "GOOD TO TALK" copyright BT (BT is british phone co. and ita a quote from a TV ad)
I have quotes here from MY posts.
"Your on the right track.. and i have no doubt the couple were very happy... "
And from grayfin's OTHER wedding shot from this wedding in her gallery.
"jobs like that are helpful to make ends meet."
The second Quote is from Daniela first posting from this Series...
So its understandable I commented from A commercial point of view as money was mentioned.. I appreciate her viewpoint has changed in her comments here but that is after I posted and was in fact mentioned in the other image...
Anyway, This could easily go around in circles so could I just say, Expect the Boys around to your House over the christmas Traff.. (JOKE)
I still stand by all my remarks and would love in fact to see more Weddings photographed by Daniela as I truly believe she could easily make money from it... I disagree with your commments about weddings being artificial.. They are a social documentary event and you have the option of traditional photography or Reportage also known as Wedding Photojournalism .... both look great if done by a Pro.. I can only assume that the weddings you have seen are simply not that great ! No offence intended ! Good wedding photography can be hard to come by, simply because it can in fact be very expensive...

so maybe i can say behind this discussion
i like this mood of picture as a set but i have problem with all of them (of course with full respect for Your work)... for me only half of this project looks fine: photo#1 - i like her pose (looks interesting, and intriguing but he looks only funny), photo#2 - again, she looks pretty nice (i mean a pose of her), and for end photo#3 - this time he looks good but on her face dark areas on teeth are too hard, the same problem is with a her dark eyes, she look tired on this one... if Your intention was take a realism than everything is ok but why u use such romantic (mood) light on white areas - it looks for me too artificially...
anyway You catch nice and natural poses both of models...
and BTW this was only my subiective opinion and only i have right to this statement ©
regards and many hugs

"This suit is not black"
With all due respect for the author, I admit this comment is somewhat acid, but... wedding photos? Is that your best? I thought this is the Elite Gallery.
