He is the Hound which guards the entrance to Hel (Hell, in the norse mythology). Helheim is the last of the nine worlds, housed by the tree Yggdrasil (whose roots descend from Muspelheim and Niflheim - the realms of Fire and Fog).Done in Photoshop, with a Wacom tablet, about 40 hours of work. Thank you for the feedback. I hope there will be a time when I will learn how to sacrifice the details for the whole picture. Everything is annoyingly sharp, and I'm losing depth because of it... I'll try to do better next time.
