Rich blue sky provides a elegant mood to this setting. As Diane had pointed out about the tree having a similar curve to that of hill just behind it. Composition is pretty good in general, however slightly more sky would have helped to balance it out with some color. Well done.

I have to disagree with Lenno as I feel a B&W sky would blend in too well and not accent the IR effect as well as this does. I like the composition and effect. Well done.

Only to realize how much the IR effect is helping the picture !!! I appreciate ur suggestions guys !! Keep them coming !!

@cnell : well i was using a IR filter & i wanted a higher F-stop for the trees on the hill to be a bit sharper !!! Thnx for ur comments !!!

The tree is very beautiful, and IR really brings it forward nicely. I too agree with Lenn0 and some others. I don't like the feel of the blue sky too much, but I guess it's a matter of taste. Btw, how’s the mainp coming along? Still working on it?

Whoa... very cool. The violet-blue of the sky in contrast to the IR reflection of the foliage is quite striking. I am torn - I have done a test conversion to b&w and it also looks wonderful. At the same time, the color is, as Chiel-Jan put it, surreal. Such an amazing location... I would love to see the same scene with a cloudy sky! This further inspires me to get an IR filter. - jason

beautiful shot, I love the detail and the composition but I think the blue sky ,while a lovely colour is lacking something, maybe clouds, I dunno, it looks like the foreground and hill were cut out and pasted onto a blue background. I wonder how the sky would look if you made that desaturated... otherwise very cool shot!!!
