Description

Just realised, I'd written a whole description for this and must've wiped it accidently.
Anyway, this is basically a self portrait, one of those images that pop into your head at night when you're desperately trying to get to sleep.
I bought myself a copy of Painter IX before Christmas and this is the first thing I finished with it, so it's a bit of an experiment, and a bit of fun with Painter too.
The butterfly is no particular type, just a google search, and looking at a load of different types.

very nice, love the skin tones and his wiskers. I think the head is a little out of shape though, his chin and ear are very large while the length of his nose and such are smaller. Other than that, its great. Butterfly is very well done too :)

highlights and shading are a bit close in value, making it seem slightly flattened, besides that issue its great work.

Good work. :) Nice composition and lighting. I think that the image needs deeper shadows. +8/10

Thanks for the advice, guys. Here's the amdended version, I've pulled the contrast a bit and got rid of the pattern in the background, thought it was a bit distracting. It definately makes for a more dramatic image, pulls my eye into where I want it to go now.
Dejanira, your right, I took a pic of myself for this, and probably there was a bit of lens distortion on it, I didn't really notice at the time, although I kind of like the fact that it's slightly distorted. But it's definately worth bearing in mind in the future.
