Description

This is a character concept sketch for another of the lead characters in my graphic novel project.

The original line art was created with pencil and paper at about 11"x17", and then scanned and rendered in Photoshop. I tweaked the line art a bit once it was scanned, and there are some rock phototextures used for the background.

I'm experimenting with some different techniques and effects with these character sketches, with the aim of finding an interesting and efficient drawing style for the book once I start on that part.

Nice pose and anatomical proportions

Although the background looks cool, i find
it a bit distracting.
I would have liked to see a shadow dropped as well
underneath the character.

Great art, but there are a few minor problems. For example the left(right for her) breast looks significantly smaller than the other, but some women have that problem, so it's not that big of a problem.

What's irking me the most is the rifle. First off, the scope is way too low to actually be of any good, unless she lays her head completely sideway over the butt stock. Which brings me to the second problem with the rifle, being the butt stock; it's far too long. Unless it's adjustable(which I hope, most rifles' buttstocks are), it's too long for the user to actually raise to their shoulder and fire.
Just a heads up in case you decide to make some more rifles.

Outside of those problems, it's a great and kick ass artwork.
