Description
This is a portrait shot of a friend. He belongs to the warrior caste of Maratha.
"The Marathas" is a collective term referring to an Indo Aryan group of Hindu warriors.
The Old Marthas would sport a big mustache as a symbol of being macho & warriors. The headgear is traditionally worn by them.
He wanted to photograph himself in a similar way. So the stern pose. I have tried to capture it in a more classical way.
Experimenting with flashes these days. Used 3 flashes at 1600 ISO.
Only cloned bits of bg & converted to B&W. Rest is all camera work.
I have printed this real BIG. And the tones have come out awesome. Hope the GFX resize is doing justice to the print !!!
As usual be FRANK with ur C&C.
I am new to studio work.
