This painting ate my life for nearly a week. I originally wanted to do a phoenix-fire theme, and Valance volunteered for the part, but it turned into a sunset along the way (which I like better). It gave me a chance to practice with water and backlighting, two things I've had endless trouble with in the past. The result came out surprisingly well, though Valance doesn't deserve the attention. *whaps him*

Wow the warm red "burning" colors are stunning! Good sence of light and shading, but the colors are really my favourite part.
Only crit would be that I'd like a lil more space at the left side of his head.
