A fanart painting from my favorite childhood series, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. It's totally dorky, but I lost a painting I did of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne so to make up for it I did this.

At first I really wanted to do Sailor Moon in my favorite form of her's. And immediately I thought "Sailor Cosmos!"...but honestly, I'm not sure if she is Sailor Moon at all..there's a big debate about it.

But in any case, I always really liked her. Her costume was the simplest of any of the ones Naoko Takeuchi ever drew, but the most beautiful at the same time. I tried to stay really true to that.

Anyway, took about 26 hours in Photoshop CS3.

That's amazing! Sailor Moon was my favorite childhood series as well! Oh and it still is, it's just something really fascinating about these creations... The messages I always thought they are completely deep so it's nothing dorky about that. Maybe 'Sailor Cosmos' is the Sailor You... The Beauty of this character maybe hides in you and appeared at the surface through this wonderful detailed picture. I would love to see someday as well an original Sailor Moon with your skills attached, but what you did in this one is still so fantastic...

The amount of work in the face is amazing! Looks wonderful! However her right shoulder has been overlooked it seems. It is at a sharp 90% angle rather than being rounded.

The face is simply perfect, a bit more of work for the arms and the bg and this will become a "best of".

Gah Sailor moon XO! *catches breath* @3@ the hair is very pretty and the face is gorgeous. The lips seem a little strait compared to the angle of her face and her one shoulder is kinda weird to me but other than that still breath taking <3! Love the sailor moon, shes what made me start drawing in the first place D:

ahh, they were my favourite childhood series too

she's really pretty. I dont' think she looks like christina aguilera, though. She looks pretty much like a mix of many of the celebrities, i can't pinpoint one, or even a few names to her face.
