Description

This is my first Christian Icon. It was drawn and rendered completely in Photoshop. My inspiration for this work is Orthodox Greek and Russian Icons. I worked on and off on this painting over the past several months so I couldn't really gage how many hours it took. Usually I will spend about 24 to 48 hours total but I can't be 100% certain on this one.
Icons tend to have text on them, usually the name of the subject or their initials along with other text. Since I only know english, I added two quotes I like. I think I will continue with this format for other Icons I wish to make. Since this is my first icon, I expect to refine my style and technique over the next couple of pieces. Critiques and comments on style and technique are appreciated. Thank you.
