Nice mood as people have been saying, what I like best about what you did is the way you left certain aspects like areas of the hair and portions of the dress very loose and painterly, flowing with the image instead of tightly defining the details. Love the concept character too. It's pretty crazy that you didn't use any sort of photo reference for the face, anatomy moon..?

crit: Her right arm/hand seems like it didn't get the same attention that the hand holding the light trinket got, I think her right arm/hand don't seem as well defined in form because the difference in lighting and lack of shadow compared to the other arm being hit with that warm lighting.
The warm light coming from the right side of this image doesn't seem too consistent when hitting the figure. It's hitting the arm/hand and her left cheek side pretty hard. It might be nice to see it hit the hair and give it a slight glow/light effect and maybe just a bit showing up on that trinket she's holding.

Very well painted although the style seems to have been done to death. Nice colours and detail in this. No references at all for anything? Very gifted are you if that is the case.

One crit, though: There are stars where the dark side of the moon should be. The moon will block the light of those stars.

The colour choices are excellent, with those subtle green lightspots a nice touch

I would suggest to remove some stars just under the visible part of the moon, the nonvisible part would cover the stars

First of all,thank u all very much like this painting~~~
I must say,I use no ref with the girl(so you could find some defects,like the right hand and the shoulder),I used an olny reference is the moon.I repainting it at photoshop.
The flower and the grassplot ,I used many custom brushes,in three different layers.
After all,I will draw some anthropotomy sketches,to do my best in my other paintings.Thank u again.

It's very rare I comment on pictures of females just standing there doing nothing, but this is an exception.

Superb atmosphere, and her expression and her lamp really finish it off nicely. Your concentration of detail in the places that matter is masterful. You didn't quite pull it off in your other images but this one is expert in that area.

IMO the moon should be bigger and lower down and the top 15% should be cropped. Still, that's a relatively minor matter.

I agree with both Wallace and Andy that this style is very common. Yes, I'd like to see something different, but you know, if it's already good then why change it? change if you're only comfortable to don't do it for others. I really dig the colours. The green of the vial offsets the typical common complementary-colour schemes very well.

Beautifully done, love the color and the sheer tone of it all. But....Sarah Michelle Gellar? Just kidding.
