Description

I am very new in drawing and have only a little knowledge of it. I was very happy when in this one. I cannot believe that I fished it. It's not very good though and I really need help to figure out what's wrong with my works and what do I need to improve so critiques and comments are needed. I used 2h, 2b, 4b and a4 size paper in this one. By the way this is Jairus wearing spiderman costume.

Wonderful drawing! Very cute face. The only little criticism I have is that the face looks quite flat - you could work on the three dimensional effect a bit more - some shading...

But nevertheless - very nice drawing!

i think the nose and mouth are very well done!
i'd suggest a bit more work on the irises of the eyes, they look a bit incomplete, and the lid of the right eye is messed up ;)
you could smooth out the hair a little bit and make some highlights to make it look as real as the rest of the drawing and not too much consisting of individual strokes :)
oh and one little thing for future drawings: the sharp shadows of her hand and head on the clothing are good, but the spiderman costume is not totally flat, so the shadows should follow its shapes (i hope you understand what i mean :S )

BUT besides all my critique i have to say you did a very good job, dont get me wrong :) i'm just trying to help :)

This is really good work; the expression is very convincing and lifelike, and the nose and lips especially well done. As for improvements, try varying the levels of shadow and light you create in your work, and carry that quality of execution you have in the lips and the nose to features like the hand, which looks rather flat and unfinished. The body beneath the head could use some work, too.

But excellent work already! I'm especially impressed by the quality of the face. Oftentimes new artists struggle most with capturing the life of their subjects, but you did this wonderfully. I'm also quite taken with the softness of your touch around the details of the eyelids. This is probably the most convincingly volumetric part of the face. Well done. :)

aww so cute I'm a big fan of drawings featuring big eyes, good work!
For being new at drawing this is well done, keep it up, and practice shading :)

hmm, i believe everything's been covered already by the other critiques, so i'll just add that for finer shading you gotta be very careful with how hard you press the pencil. this is what gives the drawing all the detail. good work, there are some areas that could need a bit more work, but overall it's a nice one!
