Great shot. Sharp, and looks good in b&w. The only thing is the overexposed roof and house at the background. Maybe crop as much as possible from top.

Nice capture - the lighting is great - you've picked up a full range of tones and textures. Calls to mind the pictures taken by 'travel' photographers of the 50's, - the 'street urchin in his natural habitat' kind of picture. A style that is too rarely seen these days.
Edit: I'd concour with roadrunner - the brightness of the background buildings does tend to pull the eye from the composition... cropping them out kinda makes it feel more intimate... excellent work.

Don't like the overexposed roof tops and the angle.

The boy and that fence/door are great subjects for the composition.

The tone in bw is nicely captured.

Don't like the overexposed roof tops.

I would crop just above the fence/door.

The tone in bw is nicely captured.

A very good capture. Nice tones and details. I'd crop this tighter to focus closer on the boy.

Very nice, I like such kind of photos. When I look at this photo, it reminds me those old days... Would like to see a bit more of the ground in the composition.

Wonderful shot!
Actually, looking at it closely, I think you can do two compositions for it. The gate itself can be a subject and the kid another one.
Love the black and white!
Well done!
