If that was your first work with new materials I think you did just fine. I like the background and its' 'fading' effect. The character is well done too, but I'd like to see more depth on the shirt and on that hat. Maybe little more shadows, if you will. Nice work anyways.

Cute! The shirt has a little too much pop from the background and the pants not quite enough in my opinion.
