Description

Just a macro exercise. I’m trying my new close up filters. I was wondering in the garden it this 2 cm spider appeared and I decided to take some shots of it. It was late in the afternoon so I had to use the flash. With this filters composition goes a bit away, because the focus field in almost close to nothing, still they give great detailed shots. I’ll be posting a few more with these filters, so I hope to read a lot of comments on how to improve my close up shots! Thanks in advanced!
Please check out the full size version!!

nice capture
to be a great spider shot i think it needs to be closer than that thought
and maybe another angle, to see more of the spider's face ;)
keep it up :)

blackshad - To be closer I would need better filters!! if you check out the full version you'll see her really big!!! I was the closest as my lens aloud me! I agree with the angle! maybe later I'll post another with a different angle!

I would still crop it closer and maybe have a square presentation.

A lower angle could be an idea.

There's some great detail on the main body. It would be nice if the front legs were sharper to help lead our eye inward. Back legs out of focus helps create depth. I think cropping it differently will help accentuate the spider without trying to show a full body shot.

I absolutely agree with Twistoflime and also the centered compo is too simple in this case, should also add a frame for better presentation...!!!

A good capture!!
No selective desaturation???
I might crop this into a portrait format and fill the frame with just the spider. Just an idea..........

I really like the browns in the background matching the browns of the spider.
