Description

Sadly, I've only managed to get out with the camera a couple of times this fall/autumn — life just seems a little too crazy lately.

This is also a different style for me: I went for a hyper-saturated, slightly dreamy look... not sure if I succeeded. I've also included the unaltered original photo as an addition download (below). Comments welcome, as always.

Also, for those of you who are familiar with my seasons series ( The Four Seasons by Elite trevorm ), the tree in that series is the one behind the largest tree on the left (at the end of the road).

Edit: Thanks so much for your comments everyone. Based on your feedback, I've tweaked the raw settings, and also toned down the saturation a little bit. I'm happier with the results. The previous version is now linked below, for comparison. Comments welcome.

This photo was captured with a Nikon D70 (1/200s @ f/7.1, EV +0.67, ISO 400, FL 22.0 mm) and a CPOL filter.

It might be a matter of taste but I am not a big fan of the oversaturation.

The composition could be stronger. The tree on the right is cropped which is a bit unfortunite.

The clouds on lefthand side are overexposed on both "natural" and super saturated (posted) versions... ;) causing lack of details.

I would have gone with a more distant angle for this one.

now this I really like. The colours are exquisite. I may have to use the colours on this as a reference one day Top marks

@moserArtist (aka, Patrick):
Over-saturation: it was an experiment, and I'm not sure either, which is why I posted the original version as well.
Composition/cropping: thanks for the comments, but unfortunately, there is an apartment block on the right, which wouldn't have helped the composition. ;)
Exposure: actually, the clouds are not overexposed, they're just white. It's a raw-processed image, and I was careful with both the shadows and highlights.
Distance/Angle: I have other shots, which I may post later.

Thanks as always for your constructive feedback. I appreciate it.

Thanks everyone else for your comments as well!

With no clouds and just a clean blue sky this would have been even better!
But I like it though it does feel a little crowded:o
Good work anyways Trevor:)

Hard to choose a composition with so many colors and atractive elements.
Did you try a vertical format including more road?

I think as a high saturation photo this works very well with no major issues. A very colorful scene with a good composition.

I think this is kinda over-powering Trevor. I want to reach for my sunglasses! I do enjoy the beautiful colors, crisp colorful sky, and sharpness.

Hmm dont know really about this one, the original is a tad better but overall it's a bit to bright for my taste. The compo is good though =)

Giving you a +6/7 for cropping the tree on the right of, try putting in the intire tree next time then it would look GREAT (: Dam buildings....)

nice shot.
too bad the tree on the right is cropped, cause it ihas the best shape between these 4. I kind of see some overexposed areas on the grass, but it might be from my monitor or from your suprasaturation.
anyway, I kind of like this view, thus you have a +9 from me.

Excellent Trevor.
Beautiful light and colors. The left side of the photo is 10+..
I´m sure you did a good composition of the scene..
I´ve got no problem with the "white" clouds. In some cases, I think a lot of people need to reconsider why they shout out loud if any part of the image reaches RGB-value 255.. I´m not saying I like "huge white areas", but the sun, high reflection (+...) should be near to white.

Well well. =) Enough said. Great photo. Take care!

I love the intense colours in this shot. My view on the clouds issue is that they should actually reach above the tree on the left. Perhaps if you had had time you could have waited for this to happen. If so, I think this would have created quite a dramatic affect - the cloud reaching towards heaven as it were.
