Description

"Well i'm sure someone will find a way to stick balloons on it," she said. A mischevious gleam appeared slowly on my face. "I....might have to do that," I replied, with scary balloon-related thoughts already swirling in my head. "I'll call it Floaty Manipulation of Doom."

True story. ^^

During some DeviantArt browsing I came across some stock and the above conversation ensued. The pose was inspired by the photo below although I didn't manipulate it directly as I was originally imagining (i.e. paint over). This isn't entirely what my original idea was but these things tend to take on life of their own after a while (mostly because I don't think them through well enough.) So it's not all that was aiming for but for a random doodle it's good enough I guess.

So yeah, I guess you could call this the Birth of Venus, Helium and Goldfish Edition. Painter 9, 10 or so hours over a few days.

Detail shot below as well.

\oh wow, this is amazing, you do some beautiful work! I think the eyebrow's are fine dark, but they sit on the head funny, they don't follow the brow. But maybe that's just the style of the times o_0

I just notice some green in the upper clouds that seems out of place or to strong! My only comment.

WOW :) beautiful work ;)
Excellent job.

I don't really know why but the sky and balloon thing always looks nice ;). It's always a RED balloon ;). I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH!. The water and bubbles is nice it blends with the sky. The bit that runs through the middle all the way down to the bottom into the water reminds me of an outline of the Eiffel Tower. Hehe

GREAT WORK JACOB!

I'm looking at this and can't really find any flaw, perhaps her stomach looks weird, but apart from that, I don't see anything. the fishes are very beautiful and detailed. You made very good use of complementary color (orange and blue). You did a wonderful job on the shading and lighting, especially with blue reflections on her skin. this is a great painting. Good job.
