sweet. man... though... i really like that snow scene you had. i suppose its preference... you lost some zinger highlights with this one... compared to http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m55/JordanRoots/8-3.jpg

crit wise, you have a tendency to use alot of black for shadows. muddies the image. you might want to use slightly less black contrasting colors for shadows.

super detailed, i like that! and color choice of orange and blue tonal, my fav!

Great Stuff JR :) The green REALLY works, enrichens the whole and really makes the chameleon stand out from the bg while blending in. Still think the branch could take a leaf or two ;)

Thanks for the WiP too dude the stages you went through are very informative.

Well done :)

I was waiting for this one :) I love it! Awesome colors. My only crit is the blue mountain - it could use some more lights and shadows from both the sides in my opinion.Well done anyway

Incredible texture on the chameleon and the background is awesome! The front leg looks a bit odd but other than that I like this painting very much. Good job!!

Great work dude!

The trasition from hot to cold is very nicely handled, subtle yet effective

the clouds on the right could be soften up a bit:)

Well done! + 10

jimiyo: I liked that cold background a lot too. I really did not want to get rid of it, I was quite satisfied with the river. BUT, the transition really did not work. I had no choice but to adapt the scenery to fit together, hence the snow-free cold background. Thanks for your comment :)

soulja: :) thanks

Raphael: I really appreciated your support during the process. thank you. yep, a leaf or two would work well, and fit with the green of the piece. your comment here was very pleasant to hear.

ThomasM: thanks for your comment, the time I put on the textures paid off.

Nadia: the mountain used to have more contrast, but since it was supposed to be far away, I had to give it less contrast so as to keep the effect of distance.

mamoun: :)

artgrader: thanks

carlos: I'm glad you like it my friend!

Kelandra: True, the front leg looks off, I hadn't noticed that before. Thanks for pointing out and thanks for the nice words!

ersen-t; it's surely not perfect, but I'm satisfied! thanksssss

Matías: Amigo, gracias por todo tu ayuda y comentarios muy queridos. no sé si
lo que escribo en espanol tiene sentido.

Vincent : thanks my friend. :)

Andy: yeah, I hope so, lol! It's not my personal favorite, but I like it. Thanks mate !

I answered every comment today because I had the time and motivation. I donT' think I'll find the time for the next comments though to answer them all.

Finally it's finished! What amazes me the most about you is that your artistic skills seems to have grown in every new artwork you post! :)
The colors are really my favourite part. I really love the contrast. The chameleon was a smart idea and you made it blend in pretty well!
I can't find too much to crit you about, other than that rock to the right in the picure. It looks unfinished. :p
Really good job!

great stuff! your best one so far in my opinion. the work with the clouds really paid off. only crit is what's been mentioned about too much black for contrast. conceptwise it's really great, i like the fact that the painting tells so much by itself.

You already know most of my thoughts on this brilliant painting.

It's great! and I really like it ;). The hot and cold theme is brilliantly expressed through colour here ;). Everything gets a nice even attention which is one of my favourite things about this painting. :)
Great clouds and reflections and ofcourse Chameleon.

Great work!. Congratulations on your school mark ;)

My only crit would be that some parts of the landscape feel a bit fragmentalised like the cold mountains, they look quite flat and dont seem to be much influence by the light.
Well done the red/green/blue combination works very well
