Fanart for my friend's novel "Izvršitelji nauma Gospodnjeg" (could be translated as "The Executors of the Lord's Intention"

. This was originally painted in May for a show, but it was done over two nights in great haste, the background was horrible and I wanted to fix it before I upload it.

It took 14 hours of work, I used some references for the axe and chainmail (no references for the priest - that's why he doesn't look so realistic). It's a huge image, around 8300x11800 px, and it was printed as a 70x100 cm poster.

you gotta work a bit on the anatomy and rendering atmosphere. otherwise your sense of concept is already there!
