Description

Sometimes when creating a composition/photograph an accident can happen.

This was one of those "positive" occasions! :)

Still on my recent trip to Tenerife.

Visited a zoo with my family.

Indoors I passed a huge tank filled with a large amount of a unknown fish type (not my domain). :p

Suddenly when I aimed my camera towards them they started moving really fast (were probably fed or got scared by something).

With my camera set for a little slower exposure time I ended up with this painterly "chaos".

I dedicate this one to a very enthusiastic, wonderful artist and also a great fellow gfx:er  Daykan

EXIF:
Exposure time: 1/4 sec (handheld against a wall)
Aparture: F5.6
ISO: 400

Hope you will enjoy!

;)

Great abstract; composition and colors are excellent

I would suggest to tweak the frame; but its personal taste i think:)

Interesting work Patrick.
Really at first look it seemed to me a painting more than a picture.
I was wondering how powerful are brushes in PS :)
Only (very little and IMO) thing is the frame... too much contrast between white and the silver blue of fishes.... try with some realistic silver, chrome satin frame?

Avatar moserArtist

 01/17/08 @693

@androx3k: I will try a different frame later on maybe. Thanks!

 01/17/08 @871

An incredible shot as usual! Why not post larger version? :)

Avatar moserArtist

 01/17/08 @877

Larger? How? I wanted this size frame so it gives me the max 716 pixel width...

Avatar gencosman

 01/17/08 @884

I mean additional downloads ;)

Wow, really different from your usual work but incredibly powerful. Even contained within the frame, the fish seem to be popping out. There's both a certain patterned quality and an undeniably sense of energy.

Hey man, good to see something completely different from you! I would have liked it even more if the upper fish were as blurred as the rest, but I know you didn't do any artificial blurring here and that you wanted to keep it that way. Very nice picture, ultimate chaos (thumbup)

Avatar IraMelanox

really lucky but beautiful accident :)

Very nice photo! Looks quite surreal and dreamlike. Beautiful colors..I do think the frame's a bit too dominant though. Maybe a thinner one would work better? Just a matter of taste though

oups.... sorry i was sure to have commented this one but... :)
im here ;)
soo as i said to you before.... interesting abstract... its kind of like sureal painting hehe :)
one thing wich might have been interesting is picture of this with the flash and the same slow shutter speed.... that way , the effect would have still been there but with some fishes in focus
nice work :)

Avatar MsMichelleLynn

 01/19/08 @499

Very cool Patrick. I enjoy the varying degree of focus among the many fishes. The photo has an abstract quality that I very much enjoy. Sometimes out of focus is a good thing!
