Description
Alternate title: Shameless Boobery. ^^;I was searching for something new to do, so I decided that I would try referencing some stock via eye only (y'know, no paintovers or hiding/showing a ref on a layer above for direct reference....basically Dirty Cheating...) to practice seeing shapes and colours. I used the stock linked to below as reference for the body and hair, and a photo off of gettyimages as a very rough ref for the face (it ended up quite different; I can't find it at the moment anyways.)
Painting two things with different light sources in the reference was a challenge and took the majority of the time with this. I get carried away too often so I embellished it a little and ended up with this...I guess it somewhat resembled a classical styled portrait without the (totally) skewed facial features/anatomy, and has a slight oil paint look I hope. Hence the poor latin title.
This is my first step towards trying random new things; although this isn't too different from my usual I guess, or very high-quality overall. Expect something very new and different soon, I promise. XD Anyways, back to commissioned stuff. I might want to make some money sometime soon. >_>
Detail shot below. Done in Painter 9, in a few hours over the past week.
EDIT: I tweaked the blue colour balance, and fixed the eye size.

Great brushstrokes
Although you've worked with a ref I tend to see some slight anatomical issues,
most noticable her breasts are a bit too widespread and placed too high.
Also the area around eye-height is a bit too much defined, meaning the curves of her nose bridge is too edgy, forcing the eyes backwards.
As mentioned the necklace is super rendered and the lighting very good

@Purplerose: I think you're right about the blue, I adjusted the gamma levels of that. It's entirely possible my monitor is having issues with blue levels so I'll have to look into that.

I find the colors so amazing. I love how you painted the breasts. They look real. Her medallion/necklage is also very well made! Great details! Especially on her skin.

This could be a bomb if her face was nicer. I am thinking the lips need improvement but I'm not sure... Also, the fingers needs more shading....
