Description
Life after the CrossEveryones cross in life is different as well as each persons purpose. Its all unified still as we are all designed to fulfill a relationship with God, the Father, with a unique path to each person. We have been given examples of course, many if we choose to submit to one. For instance, we can look at the first 12 apostles that walked with Jesus. Each on of them before called apostles were disciples. People who realized that what they were doing on earth did not fulfill what they knew internally was designed for them. When GOD called them through Jesus words "come, follow me" they instantly believed this is he who can take me where I need to go. Through their submission and faith they were taken on a journey to learn, submit, and understand who God wants us to be like on this earth. Each one of them were different in charachter, testimony, and identfication with Jesus by relationship. However, in their following him their cross to take was to completely shed all that they knew and be restored into the original design of their life. They then all eventually became Apostles who would be able to take the gospel of the kingdom of God and establish churches that conintued the gospel of who Christ was too the entire earth. Even Judas, shows us something, as he was one who betrayed Christ. That this life of bearing with him once partaking with him is something that must be endured patiently with faith. Another example is Paul, who once was named Saul, was known for persucuting the church. He would kill christians sometimes going into homes and killing them. However, once God chose him...he turned and became one of the most hardest working apostles. Eventually exorting to the gentiles and writing two-thirds of the New testament. So in conclusion, a life bearing this cross is not supposed to be iconically as just a symbol of where Christ died. It is supposed to be the transition point of where we do through a shedding process of ourselves into what we were called to be. -RTW
