Description

Taken during a work day. I have to make development sceneries for a city I didn’t knew so I decided that the best way to know it was by getting myself lost in there, and so I did. When I was wondering trough the city I found this “marry go round” very old school like! And the Old man staring at it almost like he was remembering sth, probably not his rides on it, but his sons.
Well I liked the look of it so…
I’ve worked a bit on PS, desaturation and sepia tones.

I've toned it down a little and dropped the frame! I don't really know if it's right color wise... I can't adjust my monitor properly!!

looks almost like a photomanip as in the old man looks like he has been pasted onto an image of a small childs toy !

Its over processed for my taste but I like the idea.

Not a manip, that's for sure! http://vasco81.do.sapo.pt/P2078965.JPG

Take down the saturation a little and it is all fine.

+5 from al-h is a bit low imo.

The frame is a bit large and heavy... cheesy! :p

I've been having problems with the colors due to my multiple screens, and they are all crapp! I haven't manage to adjust them properly.

Well the background is surely a mess, and sharpness could be better, but the capture is great. :)

@ Roadrunner: This is the supposed city center! So it's full of parked cars, persons etc etc etc, this was the best angle I could get with the old man on the photo.

Interesting. To me, the carousel appears to be floating on air and looks more pasted on than does the gentleman. The shadows are a nice added element. The photo is a bit tightly cropped on the sides and the composition is a bit centered. The background seems quite busy as well causing the carousel to blend in a bit. An interesting image. Could be better but I like it.

I personally think this is great!! The surreal look is very unique! Love the desaturation effect which causes the merry-go-round to pop out at the viewer. The man viewing the scene completes the scene!

A very busy shot, but I like the capture of the man standing there on his own.
well done

Agree with Passenger about the man in the foreground is captured nicely. The background is a bit busy, but I quite like it, considering I think it would have looked rather odd if this had a completely clear background.... so overall - Really nice
