Description

This is a commisioned portrait that will be used as a website background and a cd-cover.
It's been changed a multiple times based upon the clients wishes, especially the magic - that went from being a constellation to a scorpion to a phoenix.
It was a real challenge on my patience, but the clients are happy with it, and so I'm happy too.
PLEASE look the full version! The 716 px restriction doesn't do justice to this painting at all! I uploaded a closeup above though.
It was made in Photoshop CS3. The girl in the painting is the owner of the website.
I'd also like to thank
Thanks for looking! Comments and crits are very welcome.

I notice that this bears a most uncanny resemblance to "LotusWood" by Jonathan Earl Bowser. I'm curious if it was an inspiration or something the client wished for.

liiga: It was the clients wish to have her positioned like in Bowsers artwork, with the similar dress and magic. Thanks for your kind words.

yerffej: Yes you might be right. There's a lot of things I would have loved to fix. The stars are some of them.
chickenfingers: lol, can be. I sometime tend to paint heads too big. I don't know how it is in this paitning though. I've been looking at it for so long that I've lost my judgement skills. ¤_¤
ThruMyEyez: Thanks!
MsMichelleLynn: Thankie.
Fuchsia: Thank you!
ADY: Thanks!
Exorbac: The clouds was a real pain in the butt, I've repainted them so many times. If I had a little more patience I'd fix them better.
Andy: Thanks dude!
Estele, MCC, ersen-t: Thank you all.

Picky: Thank you so much for your constructive comment. The shoulder area was tricky for me. I wasn't quite sure how to do it and I couldn't find a proper reference. Thinking back I should have added more flesh and shadows there. Too late now though since I allready gave it to the clients... But I'll keep your comment in mind for my next artworks.
