Wonderful as always. I love the vaporous effect of the horse with only the head and hand solid. Wonderful details!

Now I know what a Kelpie is! Thanks for that! Jethro Tull has a song by the same name and I always wondered what it meant. As far as the artwork ... just wonderful. Great depth and detail.

when I think of a Kelpie I think of a Loch Ness type creature ( I probably have the wrong brand of creature!!)

This is (in my eyes) a unique take on this myth! Very eerie atmosphere. Love the way it isn't quite there. The rocks and landscape are great as per.

Wonderful painting Simon:)

Never heard of Kelpie, but seeing your painting it freaks me out a bit:)
Great atmosphere and overall 'weirdness', cool!

As always your depiction of nature, rocks and water is
so good with those natural colors

those of you that can, I strongly encourage you to add a bit of imaginary animation to this. It looks SO COOL!. It's still great as a picture though. *visibly calms down*

Wow! Scary. :o Good job on the Kelpie character. It doesn't look quite like smoke, neither a shadow, but something scarier and more different....
I don't know much about Kelpie, but he reminds me of the norwegian myth character Nøkken. It's a evil and mysterious creature that lives in lakes and waters. Once in a while it transforms into a white horse and fools people to ride it. When they get on his back it runs down to the water and make them drown.
Maybe they have something in common? ;)
Good job on the landscape!

I simply love the elements in here....if i may had to add.....if its a mythical creature...adding some dark colors of purple shades, would have enhanced the mood...thats only my opnion but am sure you did justice to it...since you knew what you had to come out with it...

Art is always subjective...just go with the flow bro...love...
keep up the good work! artists like you really inspire....
cheers!

Another great piece from you, Simon. Tough subject, which you have solved extremely well. I'm always amazed on how you're painting rocks, hehe.

Very impressive, which is to be expected given your works. What program do you use if I may ask? You achieve a very traditional feel with your works; Very unique.

The whole thing is stunning. Not so sure if the nails on the hand really work at the same level as the rest of the piece.
