*03.30.08 - Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Okay, I cropped the top portion like many of you suggested and reduced some of the contrast I had before..
I'm not really sure what I can do about the sharpness though...

Light conditions were harsh. It would be nice to see more details in the shaded areas. That would require a better time of day.
Not sure if there is a DOF or sharpness problem. Possibly both, as the cacti at the front appear less sharp then the further ones.
I'd clean some noise in the sky, and crop about 2 inches from the top.

but as Roadrunner mentioned above, the image needed to be a bit sharper.
I am not sure of cropping, but it will definitely break away the 1:1 ratio of composition.
