This image is my contribution for the gnomon-workshop contest "catacombs".
It took some evenings to create this image. First i made a 3d Model with some texture for the pillars and the wall. The skulls werde made in a 3d programm too. After the composition i painted over with photoshop.
I hope you like it.

Yikes, either she's about to be snakefood or quite an epic battle is about to commence.

Powerful and penetrating gaze on the snake, which compounds the sense of terror his size creates. The composition, with distinct foreground, middle, and background works well, too. It seems a little odd to me that the scale sizes vary so much between consecutive coils, though, and there's a lingering sense of artificial 3d-ness in some areas, perhaps because nearly everything is so sharply rendered. Very cool scene overall.

This is some top notch stuff. I really like it. One crit though, while the composition is good and works really well, I would have liked to have seen the warrior character moved away form the wall so her whole body is in the giant doorway. Think thats down to personnal taste though.
