Description
Third and last cover illustration for Erik Brown´s book New York Dreams from Virex series. Many hours in photoshop - without any 3D model and textures (only one texture was used for cover relief effect).

Awesome perspective and atmosphere. I got the dreaming part right away. Love the textures (the face looks like a cross between brushed aluminum and graphite rendering) in this one, too, and the details, particularly on the buildings, are superb. Do you have any tips for creating urban architecture/skyscrapers in Photoshop you might share with us?
Seems to be some odd distortion on the buildings right above the monorail in the center that goes contrary to the overall perspective, but extreme angles do odd things so maybe it's ok.
Nice use of warm and cool greys.
