My entry for
GFX-Wall 2008 (GFX-Wall Forum).

It was quick work for me. I usually spend a lot of time with thinking about details, sketching variations, etc... I paint this one because I love horses and riding.
And now I'm satisfied

Very nice composition. Good use of the rock as a foreground element to create depth. I do wonder about the perspective on the left front hoof. It seems to bend inward while the leg is angled back. The lighting of this leg seems too bright from the knee down when compared to the rest of the body.

I love this red

Good choice. You could put more of the blue reflex on the horse. And probably you could add something to stress the movement - like slight motion blur - or some motion lines. Nice work
