Description

It's been a while! I started my own business last March, and things got really busy around November and they haven't slowed down since. In fact, I've only really been out with the camera twice since last November. :(

So, while I haven't been posting or commenting, I've still been checking out submissions on a daily basis.

Anyway, this photo was taken last week (April 6, 2008 ) at the same location as the following:

Simple Life by Elite trevorm
Once Upon A Time by Elite trevorm
Olden Days by Elite trevorm

Which do you prefer, the colour version, or the black-and-white?

This photo was captured with a Nikon D70 (1/250s @ f/8, EV +1, ISO 200, FL 29.0 mm) and a CPOL filter.

BW looks great. Takes the noise color out of the picture and gives you a clear view.

I do prefer both of them...but in particular the BW version...

I prefer the colour, mainly because of the way the yellow of the tree contrasts with the deeper blue of the sky. Overall, a nice composition shot in terms of placement.

The B&W is my favorite as it shows a perfect range of tones. Love the contrast.

While both versions are gorgeous, the BW one really does the trick for me. Contrast/tones are perfect. No crits here. +10

Excellent shot -- as seems to be the general consensus, I prefer the B&W version (although the color is quite good too). Awesome tones -- nice work (thumbup)
