Actually the photo was a part of a session we did back in 2006(I think)..would've started playing with them sooner if it wasn't for my good friend Sloth.

On the issue of it being too dark, I too have an LCD monitor. I believe this is a touch too dark. If you are using Photoshop, if you look at your Levels Histogram (Image>Adjustment>Levels) You'll see a lack of lighter tones at all. I'd make your Highlight Input Level about 180 (slide the White slider to the information on the histogram stops). By personal preference I'd also move the midtone Level to about 1.5, but that's just me. I hope that helps
