Nice mood and a typical "Brandon" setup. :p

Great feeling of depth with the table lit up in the next room. :)

Hands of the girl at the window seems overexposed. :o

Edit: Honestly, looking at this from another monitor (at work) it looks much better. I remove some of my "harsh" critique due to that fact.

Still waiting for that alternative composition coming your way... ;)

@ Elite moserArtist: Hmm, you're a hardcore realist, aren't you? If everything you take photos of has to look exactly as it does in real-life, what's the point in taking them? Have you considered approaching photography from less of a "textbook" perspective?

Anyway, perhaps when people start flooding the gallery with these types of shots I'll switch my style completely. Although, I can't think of a category I haven't posted in... perhaps you can suggest something? I'm open.

Just by looking at the preview bit, before I read who posted this I knew it was yours! It had to be! I love this kind of chaotic BG you use. The areas near the window do look a bit overexposed, but it really doesn't bother me. Great work! +9

I like it! :)
Too bad about the overexposed parts, but that's minor ;)

The overexposure was intentional. I took enough exposures to eliminate it, but chose to leave it in. I can understand if it's not to everyone's taste though.

@ moser: Well, I can appreciate that you would like to see that, and since I'm not an old bag yet I could probably get away with it... but I'm not going to try. No serious suggestions though, huh?

...so do a good "Portrait" that even Carlos would envy...
(A street shot would do)... :p

The effect from the high contrast and intentional overexposure is to make this look very much like a painting. It works well from that perspective.

nice shot brandon

i like the rich saturated colors

I think it would be a nice idea to take the shot from the outside,
while the girl is looking through the window off center...creepie ghostly effect like the movie "the others' or 'the sixth sense';)

my two cents, cool image

As I’ve said in the past, I’m a big fan of your HDR work. Like your others, this piece is rich with contrast and detail, containing an almost tactile quality. I appreciate the fact that you’ve begun adding human subjects to these shots; this adds an additional emotional component that further enhances the dark, cinematic mood already present in most of your work.

Excellent work. +10

I agree with sdavis75 about the addition of human character. The over-exposure works for me in most places here, except for her hands.

Very cool. Great mood. Really like the colours and textures. I'm not crazy about the over-exposed areas either, but to each their own -- that's why it's called art. ;)

I enjoy when someone works to be different and push some limits for certain effects. I've found that I can adjust to the business here and appreciate the view. tons of character, mood, and texture! */9

Concept:

Technical Skill:

Impact/impression:

Very strong
Pros:
This one is great. The figure really works this time giving me plenty of interest and leading my eyes into the back round. Plenty of details captured and loads to look at. Nice subtle colours which really work well with the oranges. Just the perfect amount of face and hands on the figure can be seen and the clothing really looks great. Excellent light capture.
Cons:
Not really too much to say on the negative side. If I was being picky I guess some white makeup on her face and hands would have completed the ghostly atmosphere.
Overall opinion/feedback:
Great, this mixes your older photos with your newer ideas and really pulls of a piece of work with plenty of impact. Great work.
