Description

Spring is the third in my series of the four seasons. This one, was the most difficult so far, because there was very little to no reference that I could find which satisfied me. Trying to create that overcast feeling isn't something I'm natural at. It's more my style to play with lighted contrasts when I can, so this was a challenge.

I just wanted the boy to be taking cover from the rainfall without any action going on. A relative peace in the waiting he has to endure. The complete opposite of what the winter picture presented.

"edit" Had this up a couple days ago, but wanted to spruce up a few things.

very imaginative, I think it would have added a bit more if the whole peice was a tad brighter

I personally love the colours. It really looks like it's raining.. you know.. When the clouds cover up the whole sky and everything looks kind of dull.. So great feeling to the painting. And I love the little yellow flower.

Really lovely work, but I think it could use better contrast to add depth tot he image.

One of the better ones I've seen here lately! The warm summer-rain feeling (although this is spring...) is so nice, I can almost feel the air and hear the rain hitting the leaves. It's so beautiful and peaceful! The boy could have some more shadows on him, but the rest looks pretty good to me!
