This is a concept I've been working on for a while now. The idea came in my head when I was playing petanque (or 'jeu de boules'), a traditional French sport. I love the sport, but unfortunately it's not very popular below the age of 50....So I started whondering; What if I create super-petanque-players with amazing ball-control? Just like the dart-players that enter the stage in a cape, playing their own fighting tune (eye of the tigre?)....

I registered the concept of this bunch because I want it to be animated by a major studio. Who's interested?

Funky! That's an interesting assortment of characters.

The only thing that bothers me is the proportions of the woman on the end (stylistically she stands out as well). I know they've all got stylized proportions, but her arms and especially calves are extremely short compared to her thighs and torso. Also, where's she hiding her ball?

I'd never heard of petanque, although apparently it seems similar to lawn bowling.

these certainly are interesting characters! I love the psychic woman! Very nice collection. I used to have boules when I was a kid and loved playing them in the garden.

Excellent. Le Chevalier is my favorite, though each has plenty of personality and style. Madame d'Esprit's gesture is particularly amusing. My only suggestion is to even out the length of upper and lower legs on Fanny.

I love mine d'esprit character .. She reminds me somehow of the designer character from the animated film of The Incredibles
