Description
In March I drove from Calgary to Fernie to visit my sister and ski for the day http://www.skifernie.com . It's a 3 hour drive so I left early, hoping to be on the ski hill by 9:30 or 10:00. Since skiing was my first priority I passed some nice scenery without stopping to take photographs. The only time that I stopped was when I saw this Golden Eagle in a tree beside the road. Driving by just wasn't an option!

I would lighten the sky with selective colors to make the main subjet stand out a little more and maybe work the eagle in a separate layer trying to bring out more tonalities.
Carlos
PS
I also would try black and white.

The bird is looking dark on my monitor.
Maybe the tonalities would help.

I like it as it is but I would try some changes. (probably would go back to this after seeing them, but still I can't restrain myself from saying them)
I'd make it a bit different. As she is looking to the right I'd crop closer to the eagle on the left leaving only the branch where she's standing, coming right from the lower left corner, and then leave a chunk of blue sky on the right to where she's looking.

Sharp and clean.
I'd prefer him on the left side of the frame, but this composition is fine too.
I also find it a little too dark, and something about the colours seems odd (both the bird and the tree). Maybe red or magenta channels need a little push backwards?

If you were totally bored you could clone the branch ends so that none in fact left the frame.

I like the darkness of the eagle, and the warm tones on the eagle

Gorgeous golden tone.
Carlos's suggestions are worth a shot, I think.

Eagle could be sharper though. The feathers look blurred.
Not too fond of the branches being cut off.
