Description

Just returned from the Holy Land of Israel... :)

A country with lots of photographic opportunities! ;)

People, Nature, Architecture and more. Biggest challenge is to avoid the bright sun.

This one was from a visit to the northern coast town of Ceasarea.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesarea_Maritima

This composition is of the old and famous Roman aquaduct which gave lots of possibilities... :p

The arab woman walking on the top gave me a great focal point and perspective!

Hope you will enjoy! (I surely did)...

More to follow...

;)

Everything went your way here: the lighting, the clouds, and the lonely woman on the aqueduct (that seems to be just at the right spot). Excellent composition and mood. Great colours of both the sky and the sand.

@edited: changed man for women! (don't know why I decided it was a man!! you say in the description that it's a women!!! I really need a vacation!)

Looks like it! A place full of photographic opportunities!
I like this one better than the additional one. Can you post a bigger version? I'd like to see some more details. Have you tried this in B&W? or with the women only in colour? Just some ideas for you to work!
Really liked the composition, and the women is a big big important element not only for the desired focal point but to add a sense of size and to improve the mood as well.

@Vasco: It is actually a woman (an arab woman).
I have lots of photographs and some in bw.

Hang in there and you will see... ;)

Nice lighting and range of values in this one. Looks like the noise reduction (?) is a bit heavy, though (clouds and wall on the left seem oddly blurred). Compositionally, this one works, but I find the alternative image more interesting for its starkness and geometric qualities. Don't forget to convert it to sRGB for web viewing; it looks rather muddy as is, since most browsers can't handle color profiles. I think it also looks nice in b/w with some contrast tweaks. (Talking about the alternative version here)

I like this angle better than the linked one. After looking at this longer than when we chatted I think the exposure looks good. A very good shot Patrick.

What a great opportunity to present itself. The Arab woman makes this photo come alive and feel connected back to the deep past of the Aqueduct.

Timing is good, placing her within the portion of this aqueduct that is more damaged than that of the rest. This draws emphasis to the woman, elsewhere may have caused a split of attention for the viewer. Clouds interestingly enough are all behind her, these balance out with the woman and the damaged area on which she currently walks.
