Description
This is my newest painting, completed entirely in Corel Painter. It shows a horde of desert beetles amassing to behold the beetle queen.Hope u like.

I agree with Kerry.
I think putting some mist in front of the mountain
and give the queen a different color would help
the focus/depth issue
That said I like the concept and those beetles are great

I can see the problem with the focal point.
Kerry I realise the queen should be more of a focal point but if I moved her there would be an open space in the middle, maybe doing what Vincent said and changing the colour of her robes will help things. thanks for the comment
Vincent I agree with you. I think changing the colour of the queens robes would help, I will definatley go back to it some time and tweak it.

George - Yeh I know what you mean, I think making it darker in places would help the image but I've found in previous paintings I go OTT on dark and light which makes it look like theres strong lighting when sometimes thats not what im intending to get across. I wanted in this image to be on a bright day in the desert hence the reason for the lack of darker colours.
