Well done! I like the theme and the landscape scenario. I think this scene would do good with some specific light. Like perhaps that light that comes when the afternoon is slowly starting to settle down, and the scene start to get small golden touches yet it still remains cool.
Well, light is always very tricky to paint and figure out! But with some studies it can really adda lot to a painting.

Solid work, composition is ace. Don't be afraid to push colors and values more, as the image appears to be a bit flat.
