Description

This piece was done for a short story called Nowhere Man. It was about a time traveller from the distant future that lived in 1890 England as a detective.

In this piece she is just getting back from mammoth hunting in the ice age and her maid walks in on her as she is stowing her gear. This is painted to look like an old photo but all the elements that are not in the right time (her and her weapons) have some slight color to them. Hence the name "Out of Time"

Very nice image, I like it... and cool story behind it. I'd be interested to read the whole book ;-)
The image almost looks like it was painted on an old plastered wall. Not a bad effect at all. Great joib +8 (I'd give a 10 if I could)

Hehe, I remember this one. I still like it. The rips in the photo seem like they could use just a tidbit more work, but yeah, nothing to worry about. They just stand out slightly to me. *submits vote*

It does look more like it was painted on plaster than an old photo. An old photo would have creases as well as rips and perhaps some stains too. Plus the edges of the rips should be sharper and more defined.

But forget all that, the illustration is great. It really looks like a moment captured in time. And the concept behind coloring is brilliant. (+6)
