I'd love to this worked over a bit more, you have an awesome beginning here. The hair looks a little too solid to me, I'd like to see it a bit more wispy perhaps. And also I think changing the background color would help too, so we could differentiate it from the body better.

Dont touch it anymore. I like the roughness. The 'blobs' of light and shadow are just at the right place and if u look on the image from far away it seems to melt into one perfect piece...
It doesnt always have to be like a photo - I mean - this is digital PAINTING

Very loose and fun, but I think you could have really played up the lighting and shadows to really make it pop. To make something appear glowing it must be one of the lightest objects in the image. But the pumpkin light is not nearly as bright as the face. For your next one I suggest really playing around with lights and darks. I think you really have a winning style on your hands.
