I really love the rendering job on the kid's hands, especially!
I think maybe you need a few more cast shadows to really tie it down...like where his left arm casts one on his leg, his shoes would have at least a contact shadow. Good job rendering the forms though!

When I first saw the work of Boris Vallejo I was stunned at his figure work. At the time all I painted was animals. It took some time and study to get the hang of figures plus lighting and textures.
I've checked you gallery you have some good stuff going.
