Description

This is a low poly environment art test done for a game company. I had to do the design from a backstory they provided. The temple was not build by the Orcs, but was reclaimed by them after being buried for many years.

3D max 4 + Photoshop 7 about a week worth of time to complete. 5000 poly, 8 textures 512 X 512

Nice rendering, not bad considering it's a low poly model.

I like the textures.. Watch out with your lighting though. You are letting them get washed out , you can get a daylight look without washing out your details. It looks kind of like a nuclear flash if you go too far. Using suptle colour changes from from warm yellows to a bluish colour in your shadow area can give you a nice sunny day look while maintaining all the detail you've worked so hard to put into the textures.

Anyway, nice work. :)

nice work :)

I would try to put some bluish/purple tint in your render, for example in the shadowns are cowsmanaut proposed. All your textures are in greens/reds/browns/yellows and in combination with the uniform lighting they become a bit flat. Which is too bad because they are really nice and detailed :)

Impressive low-poly work (would've been nice to see some wire-frame too). I think you've done a great job on the textures, superb work.
