Thanks for the comments everyone!

There is a small pile of photos and sketches sitting in my room which have contributed this painting! I cannot believe how long it takes me to finish these things. This is done in art class and is part of my portfolio in preparation for college, as for the ear, yes it IS a pixie/elf ear. :)

Whoa! So nice! The sun-shadow effect is simply sparkling. It looks photographic but upon closer inspection I think it looks better than a photo. It does look a bit like traditonal media too... gouache maybe?

Beatiful girl, her face, hair (wow!) t-shirt are perfect--absolutely realistic, beatiful light, only to things could be better:backdround-soften colors-are to strong-come out from behind the girl and ear-should be more rotated to right, but great job!7+ :)

when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a fantasy painting because of the elf ear. I was very surpised when I scrolled down to see her clothes. Its really really good painting skills. good job

Lovely work there - you've caught the light off the subject very well indeed. It strangely draws your eye away from the large area of path and wall which you have not detailed as much - well balanced. :)
