Great work! The hair and scarf echo a nice wavy rythm. I agree with emarts, the nose is a bit lost in the blown out highlights of the face... but it gives the light a brilliant and bright quality... the shirt/coat is a bit flat.

The painting is indeed stunning, and the brush-stroke effects do indeed kick neck, but I'm afraid to say that the man in this painting is a Metro-sexual. Men and boys DO NOT look like this in most places (S.F & Boston being the prominent exceptions), for good reason. The fellow here looks like the type who'd wear cucumbers and green facial cream to bed. Very preppy, very pampered, and very feminine. And the outfit... eek. Is he a law student? Does he attend environmentalist rallys and then race back to his KIA when the police arrive? Does he do all of his studying on a Dell Inspiron while from the comfort of his local Starbucks? These are what I imagine of him when I see this picture. That's not politically correct to say, I know. I'm sure the guy's probably not like that at all, and is probably a very nice guy. He just strikes me as goofy, that's all. Can't fault your technique, It's just your subject I find giggle-worthy.

hmm, this is almost a little TOO "bi" and not quite enough "shounen". it almost looks a little TOO girly, but i can't say exactly where that happens, ^_^. The lines on his lips make the indentations look too deep and almost flawed or deformed. two VERY small flaws in and overall EXCELLENT work
