It looks like it's painted from a photo. Did you use refs for this?
I do not read spanish (I assume that is the language of the descriptive text?) so I don't know what you want to say with this or how it is done.

The language is Portuguese, and it says "oil on canvas". But you can clearly read the word "rodeo" in the description. And what`s so cruel about riding a horse? I wouldn`t like to see an argument about cultural values in this boards.
As for the artwork: I like the style, it looks very "traditional South American", but it` s a bit flat, nad maybe the horse shouldn`t have both hind legs stuck to the ground (or at least, they look a bit stiff)

I think you go to far if you assume I want to make this a discussion about cultural values.

Have you ever ("domar, amansar" translate this) a horse?
E é português.

I suppose the word you are after is ridden? As a matter of fact I own two horses, and I have the HIGHEST respect for iberian horsemanship. I am not familiar with the traditions in brazil, but I can guess they are somewhat like that of spain and portugal? The dressage in these countries is without comparison, but sadly there is also the element of cruelty rodeos stand for. This is my opinion, I will not change it because it is labeled culture, just as I am sure you do not agree with everything other cultures stand for. This is in no way meant as disrespect for your country and it's culture, I hope you do understand that, and that we can leave it at that.

abraço! :}
Ah, e escrevei em portuga pra ti dar uma traduzida tbm, né.

I'm not a horse expert, but this doesn't strike me as more cruel than many other things people do to animals - or eachother for that matter. But that's not for here, and neither is, imo, flaming the artist for drawing rodeo pictures.
This style is very classic; reminds me of the covers of a lot of books I read when I was a kid. I don't think te level of detail on this one's very high. I like the pose, though.
Posting in portugese, is not really nice, either.
