It looks like you used gray for shading, it looks way better if you get a darker colour for shading, or choose a light colour(for example yellow) and a shading colour which is complementary to your light colour(purple in the case of yellow light) and use these colours for highlight/shading. Gray really kills the colours.

Did you draw the figure from scartch in Photoshop, or did you scan a sketch first? I agreee with jawine, don`t use gray or black to darken color, it doesn`t look good. Only thing with the figure... maybe it needs claws! The pose and composition are nice.

Do not use neutral gray in color work.

Application of color is very messy; a lot of blur and clumsy short lines. More elegance and flair, please.

thank you all for the comments and the hints, i'll certainly keep it in mind.

the computer i made it on had a very dark screen, so when i finished it, i thought it looked great, but got quite a shock when i saw it on another PC with a good monitor, hehe
