I really like your technique

she looks so sweet and innocent! nice work and I really like the colour combinations.

It looks like a full grown women's head stuck on a small child's body, my only other problem with it is the dress, it looks painted on. The face is beautiful, as is the background.

Really like the hatching technique and the mottled patterns, but I think it's not dimensional enough - too flat in the body area and hands.

The sketch is nicely done also - it has more dimension, but it too suffers a bit from flatness and it seems you carried that into the final rendering. Wouldn't take much to fix.

It's rendered very well, especially the face and knife.

She's a little flat-chested, but who knows - drow may all be that way (o;

Flat and flat-chested... I see what your talking about. When I did this one, I was looking at some of Klimt's socialite portraits with their figure/ground ambiguity--some might've rubbed off.

As for flat-chested--she's 11, you letch!

But then her face is too adult looking; the proportions and bone structure don`t say "11 year old girl", at least to me they don`t... I agree with the comments about the body`s volume too. But I also agree that your technique is really good, and specially adequate for your subjects! Like the colors too.

That girl in the ref is a pre-teen? I did think she's looking a bit too old for an 11-year-old, or too flat chested. But it's a cute portrait At first glance I thought it's a feather she's holding!

Typical Sporeboy beautiful colours Very rich and I do see the Klimt influence. Lovely. She does look too old, more like a flat-chested supermodel, but some of that could be because of the red eyes and her generally disturbing mien. Good stuff!
