The colors need much more integration between each other... make that happen taking into account the big yellow light you have at the top right corner. That light will also be useful to place the shadows correctly, because the lighting is kind of inconsistent. The skin tones should look more lively in my opinion; they are too dull and greyish for this kind of character design. It would be interesting if you left the lines of your original sketch on it, but you could colorize them to match; and also, you can correct little things like the too-small foreground hand. Keep it up!

Agreed. Poor perspective on hand. But i like the seperation between the colours, though the yellow should be having more effect on the figure.

I think the skin is very dark, but it is a beatiful image, and i love this hair!!

Cute character, and beautifull colors. I like it.
One suggestion: you should either do the shading cell style, or by blending. Not both. I really like the way you did the clothes, but the hair just doesn't fit in.

i think the hair looks terrific.... more work needs to be done on the skin tones though, they DO look a bit greyish and dull... also a bti more attention to the cresent at the end of the staff, it looks as though it might have been put in as a filler rather than a feature of the picture... looks very good overall though! +6

Wowwowow. That HAIR. And the folds in the cloth.... well, this is a truly amazing images, but for the slightly disconserting contrast between the two almost completely different types of shading on the clothes and the hair. I think what you want to do is make the shading on the clothes more fluid, if you can see what I'm saying. Ah, don't mind me, I'm just a big nit-picker...

Actually I like the background. But the character needs a lot of work to make it harmonize. Her hand's index finger is thinner than all others. Which make the whole hand look weird. But the hand's VALUE does not make it COME FORWARD in space. It falls right in with the rest of her dress. Augustopatino mentioned the skin lacking in color. Saturate it a bit and lighten.

heh I guess this is sort of contradicting other comments, but I don't think the skin is a problem - it goes with the outfit. I like the outfit. It's cute.
My problem lies in the hair and that little thing at the end of the hat. The saturation and highlights don't go with the style of the coloring on the rest of the picture. If you toned down the saturation on the hair and that...I think it would do wonders to help the picture....it just clashes too much right now imo.
Parts of the hair are sort of light bluish....I think if you made that as the base for the hair and made the highlights/shadows less extreme...it might help....
Yes....now that I look at it again, it might just be that the reds/blues are much darker on those two things than all the other colors in the picture....
