Colored version of the lineart...done in photoshop 7. Is just a character I made up. ^_^ My bg are still not the best...but oh well...I think it turned out nice nevertheless.Time...not sure, 6 + hours maybe? >:3

One suggestion: you should either do the shading cell style, or by blending. Not both. I really like the way you did the clothes, but the hair just doesn't fit in.
Otherwise, great job!

The skin has a lack of yellow.
The hair has too reflections while the dress is too flat painted.

My problem lies in the hair and that little thing at the end of the hat. The saturation and highlights don't go with the style of the coloring on the rest of the picture. If you toned down the saturation on the hair and that...I think it would do wonders to help the picture....it just clashes too much right now imo.
Parts of the hair are sort of light bluish....I think if you made that as the base for the hair and made the highlights/shadows less extreme...it might help....
Yes....now that I look at it again, it might just be that the reds/blues are much darker on those two things than all the other colors in the picture....
Heh sorry if I don't make much sense. I'm pretty much typing everything that comes to mind....maybe you can find something in my ramblings that makes sense
