Oil on canvas. Approx 22" x 30"

This is a portrait of my friend. He posed in 3 different positions, so every time I tried to capture the new position wherever I was working. Completed in about 3 to 4 hours.

Feel free to comment. I am curious as too why this painting is getting 1s and 2s when the lowest quality drivel ever to leave my easel is getting 3s and 4s.

just to let u know sometimes people 'troll' sort of go around degrading artwork. dont worry about the ratings, they're generally meaningless. the comments are cool though

I'm sorry I can't stand blobby modern art, it is simply meaningless to me. Outside the circle of elitist art dealers you will generally find that the unwashed masses do not care for it either. It is my sincere belief that there are ways to communicate meaning much more directly than how the modernist school of thought promotes. May I suggest: www.artrenewal.org? It is not my aim to offend, merely to try and answer your questions abut why this is getting 1's and 2's.
